WELCOME TO THE NEWSLETTER

Summer time is normally a slower time for the club and its members.  Too hot in Florida for any outdoor activities and the shows all seem to move to the north.  We have exciting things planned for the fall.

Please remember, any new members MUST attend 2 club meetings in one year prior to being approved for membership. This is in the bylaws and was voted on in January 2014.

On September 20 & 21,  SSRRC is holding CAT tests as well as JC/QC tests at the West Volusia Kennel Club's show site in Deland.  If you know of anyone with non-sighthounds that is interested, send them on over.  Heck, if you want to bring your sighthound out for a practice on Saturday, come on out.  Please remember that even though many members will be there helping out, if you do plan to QC, you do need to have your already qualified courser present to run with your unqualified dog.

On October 17, 18 & 19, SSRRC is holding an AKC Judge's Seminar up in High Springs.  The cost for this is $25.00 for members, 100.00 for non-members.  If you are going to attend this, please contact Matt Coughlin at deberhard21@yahoo.com by October 1, 2017.  On Saturday and Sunday, we will be having an AKC lure coursing trial.

Finally, on December 12, 2014, SSRRC is holding their first ever Regional Specialty the Friday before Eukanuba.  Breed judge is Mr. David R. Miller and the Sweeps judge is Mrs. Donna Griggs Richards.
